The Yard Sale/Swap meet was held at the Country Corner's Shopping Center (7 minutes from downtown Athens) in The Plains on November 3rd from 11am to 5pm. This was an opportunity to sell, swap, trade, or just show off anything musical. Instruments, amplifiers, sound systems, CD's, records, tapes, or ANYTHING that's music-related. It was an opportunity to visit with other local musicians, look for a new band member (or a new band), show off your latest CD, and maybe even join in an acoustic jam session during the event. Each individual (who registered for a table) was assigned an area to display their sale items. For those without transportation, the Union Street bus will bring you right to the store. Click here to download the bus schedule. From pre-registration information, we expected to see the following items at the swap meet: - yamaha drum kit
- drum parts
- misc percussion parts
- microphones
- sound equipment
- saxophone
- guitars
- amps
- effects pedals
- basses
- keyboards
- books
- sheet music

- mini-hammer dulcimer
- vintage radio equipment

- pickups
- vinyl records
- guitar parts

- and more!
Table registrations were available on a first-come, first-served basis as listed below: (Tables with outlets will be extremely limited in number.) Setup time was 9am. Traffic was very heavy during the early afternoon hours. By 4pm, most people were calling it a day and getting ready for an evening gig. Many suggested we do it again and build on the success of our first event. Check out the photos below:
